VIRGINIA — The Maryland Terrapins will hit the road for the first time this season as they clash against the Georgetown Hoyas this Saturday (9/25) at 8:40 p.m. EST. The game will be played at St. James Sports Complex in Springfield, Virginia.
The Terps will look to bounce back after taking a 7-0 defeat against the Delaware Blue Hens last weekend. A broken panel of glass forced an abrupt finish to that game after only 40 minutes of play. That was Maryland’s first and only game of the season so far.
On the other hand, Georgetown has already skated in multiple affairs so far this season – the Hoyas lost to Richmond and beat Montgomery College. Their third game is this Friday against Stevenson, which could provide an advantage to the Terrapins as they will face an opponent on the second day of a back-to-back.
Saturday will serve as the first of two meetings between the clubs this season – Georgetown will come to Maryland for their second tilt on January 28. The Terrapins lost their 2019-20 season opener to Georgetown after a 3rd period comeback, so Maryland will attempt to get vengeance this Saturday. Contests between the two generally end with a 1-2 goal margin, so expect a close game in this Beltway rivalry.
